George Davis Becomes APRA Secretary

Chantilly, Virginia –   George Davis was installed as the Secretary of the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) during their recent “International BIG R” Show in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 28-30, 2006.

Davis has been in the remanufacturing industry for the last 28 years having started his career with Precision Alternator & Starter in Fairfax, Virginia in 1978. Currently Davis is Director of Quality Services for World Wide Automotive, Inc. in Winchester, Virginia. Prior to working for World Wide Automotive, Inc., Davis was a rebuilder, shop foreman, technical service advisor, Environmental Health, Safety & Security Officer, and ISO/QS Management Representative.

Davis holds a B.A. degree in Business Management from National-Louis University and an A.A.S. degree in Automotive Technology from Northern Virginia Community College.

Davis served a number of terms on APRA’s Electrical Division Board of Governors as well as Chairman of that Division during 2000. He is a member of the American Society for Quality, the Society of Automotive Engineers, the International Automotive Technicians Network and Trout Unlimited.

Davis will serve on the APRA Executive Committee as Secretary and will be APRA Chairman in 2011.
